Job summary

NH Collection Amsterdam Barbizon Palace is seeking a Breakfast Chef to prepare mise en place for breakfast, lunch and evening catering in a historic hotel. You will work early shifts with the F&B team and ensure guests enjoy a memorable breakfast experience.

English is required; Dutch is a plus. The role offers training, end-of-year bonuses and staff rates across our hotels, with opportunities to grow within the NH Collection brand.

As a breakfast chef (f/m/d), you will be responsible for preparing the mis-en-place for breakfast, lunch and evening catering.

Your Day-to-Day at NH Collection

04:30Your alarm goes off and you get ready for your shift.
05:45You are in the kitchen and grab yourself a cup of coffee to start with.
06:00Together with your colleague from the F&B service you set up the buffet in the restaurant.
07:00The first guests arrive; you prepare a delicious egg dish for one of your favorite regular guests.
10:45After the final guests leave the breakfast restaurant, you clean up where possible and prepare the mise en place for the following day.
11:15If necessary, you prepare a (sandwich) lunch for the meeting and event guests.
11:30Enjoy your lunch with colleagues from other departments.
12:00The lunch in the restaurant has started and you ensure they have a perfect experience from start to finish.
13:30The last guests leave, and you and the team make sure the mise en place is in order for the next shift and your workplace is neat and clean.
14:00Time to go home!
