Job summary

flatexDEGIRO AG is seeking a Brand Director for DEGIRO to define and lead the Europe-wide brand strategy. You will oversee design, campaigns, social media and editorial, shaping a strong, differentiating brand presence while collaborating with senior stakeholders across Europe.

You will lead a cross-functional team in a highly international environment, driving growth and brand metrics through multi-channel campaigns and partnerships across markets.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of leadership in brand marketing or related senior roles.
• Proven track record building, transforming, and scaling consumer brands.
• Experience in fintech or digital platforms is a strong advantage.
• Excellent leadership and stakeholder management in matrix, international orgs.
• Strong written and verbal communication with senior stakeholders.

As our Brand Director for DEGIRO and Deputy to our CMO, you will define and lead the overarching brand strategy across Europe, ensuring a strong, consistent, and differentiated brand presence across all customer touchpoints. You will lead the evolution of our brand ecosystem—from design and campaigns to social media, activation, and editorial—while translating business priorities into impactful brand experiences that support sustainable growth. In this role, you will work in a highly international environment and collaborate closely with multiple senior stakeholders and functions across the organization.

This is what you’ll do

• Define and drive the long-term brand strategy, positioning, and narrative across European markets
• Translate business priorities into compelling and differentiated brand propositions
• Ensure a consistent yet locally relevant brand experience across markets, cultures, and customer journeys
• Drive brand relevance, trust, and awareness in a highly competitive fintech landscape
• Lead the development and execution of integrated, multi-channel brand campaigns across Europe
• Oversee creative direction and ensure consistency across all brand touchpoints
• Drive full-funnel brand activation initiatives - from awareness and engagement to conversion and retention
• Shape strategic brand partnerships, activations, and growth initiatives to strengthen market positioning
• Own the social media strategy and editorial direction across platforms and markets for DEGIRO
• Lead and inspire a high-performing international team consisting of Brand Designers; Native Brand & Social Media Marketers & Activation Marketers
• Work closely together with the PR function in Berlin, the Markets function, the Media, Partnerships & Education team, as well as Country Managers in Amsterdam to ensure strong alignment between brand, product, communication, and local market execution
• Act as a senior brand ambassador internally and externally, influencing stakeholders across functions and geographies
• Own key brand KPIs including awareness, consideration, engagement, and commercial contribution
• Establish measurement frameworks and continuously optimize performance based on insights and market data
• Ensure brand investments are aligned with business priorities, customer needs, and growth ambitions

You’ll bring us these skills

• 10+ years of experience in brand leadership, marketing, or related senior commercial roles
• Proven track record of building, transforming, and scaling strong consumer brands in dynamic environments
• Deep expertise across brand strategy, creative direction, campaigns, storytelling, and social media/editorial ecosystems
• Strong experience in social media strategy, digital channels, and content-driven growth models
• Experience in fintech, digital platforms, brokerage, or financial services is considered a strong advantage
• Excellent leadership and stakeholder management skills in complex, matrix-driven, international organizations
• Strong commercial mindset with the ability to balance strategic thinking and hands-on execution
• Exceptional communication and influencing skills with senior stakeholders across multiple countries and functions
