Job summary

Miller Transportation Group is hiring a Body Shop Technician for its Miller Truck Leasing division in Amsterdam, NY. With over a century of experience, this role focuses on restoring trucks after collisions, welding, and various body repairs in a busy shop environment.

The ideal candidate has formal body shop training or experience, can handle tools safely, and works 8:00 AM–4:30 PM, Monday through Friday. They offer competitive pay and benefits in a family-owned company with broad capabilities.

Qualifications

• Formal training or some experience in Body Shop Repair operations or as a Body Shop Technician.
• Free range of motion in hands and arms to work with small parts and in small spaces.
• Attention to detail, customer service, and critical thinking skills.
• Ability to use a wide range of tools and equipment to assess damage and determine how to make repairs.
• Ability to work: Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM until 4:30 PM.

Responsibilities

• Provide full-body restoration and paint to trucks involved in collisions
• Perform fiberglass repairs
• Weld aluminum, steel, and stainless steel
• Repair trailers, side rails, side sheets
• Repair and replace rooves, roll up doors, lower rails, body corners, and body swaps
• Ability to install lift gates
• Operate and maintain tools and equipment in a safe manner
• Perform other shop maintenance duties as assigned

Miller Transportation Group is immediately hiring a Body Shop Technician for our Miller Truck Leasing division in Amsterdam, NY. With over 100 years of experience and upwards of 8,000 trucks on the road, Miller currently operates over 40 Diesel Maintenance shops throughout KY, MD, PA, NJ, NY, CT, MA, and NH. You Will:

• Weld aluminum, steel, and stainless steel

• Ability to install lift gates

• Perform other shop maintenance duties as assigned

You Have:

You Might Also Have:

• Trailer repair experience
• PPG Painter certification
• Valid CDL class A or B
