Job summary

Miller Transportation Group is hiring a Diesel Mechanic Technician for our Miller Truck Leasing division in Amsterdam, NY. With over 100 years of experience, Miller operates dozens of diesel maintenance shops and a broad portfolio of transportation services.

Responsibilities include preventative maintenance, diagnosing engine fault codes with OEM software, and repairing brakes, suspensions, clutches, transmissions, and other components.

Qualifications

• Experience as a diesel, fleet, or heavy equipment mechanic.
• Diagnose, repair and maintain Class 1-7 diesel tractors.
• Must have own tools and a valid CDL (Class A or B).
• Ability to work 2:00 PM–10:30 PM, Monday to Friday.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance and reconditioning on Class 1-8 vehicles and refrigeration units.
• Diagnose engine fault codes with OEM software and follow warranty procedures.
• Repair/replace brakes, steering, suspension, alignments, clutches and transmissions.
