Amerit Fleet Solutions is seeking a skilled Diesel Technician/Mechanic in Amsterdam, New York to perform preventive maintenance and repairs on medium to heavy duty fleet vehicles. You will diagnose mechanical and electrical issues, conduct safety inspections, and document repairs to ensure fleet reliability.

A strong focus on safety and collaboration with the team is required. Ideal candidates have 5+ years of hands-on diesel experience, solid diagnostic skills, and the ability to manage tools

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on diesel vehicle maintenance and repairs.
• Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills.
• Valid driver's license.
• Ability to own and maintain personal tools and toolbox.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Willingness to meet physical demands of the job.
• Eligible for pre-employment screenings including DOT (if required).

Pay & Schedule

Pay $30.00 - $34.00/hour (based on experience)

Pay Frequency Weekly pay - every Friday

Schedule Thursday - Sunday 8am-6:30pm

What You'll Do

What We're Looking For

• 5+ years' of hands-on experience performing diesel vehicle maintenance and repairs
• Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills
• Valid driver's license
• Ability to own and maintain the personal tools and toolbox required for the role
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
• Willingness and ability to meet the physical demands of the position (detailed below)
• Must be eligible to pass standard pre-employment screenings, including drug screen and DOT physical (if required)

Working Conditions

This role involves working in a mobile and or shop environment that may include exposure to dust, diesel fumes, noise, and mechanical irritants such as oils and greases. Technicians must be able to perform essential functions that include lifting heavy objects, accessing tight spaces, and bending, stooping, crouching, or crawling as needed to complete repairs.
