Job summary

VectorY Therapeutics in Amsterdam Science Park is seeking a Controller who will own the financial control environment, ensure accurate reporting, and drive scalable processes to support the next growth phase. You will lead the accounting and reporting cycle and coordinate audits in a dynamic biotech setting.

You’ll implement improvements, strengthen internal controls, and provide financial insights to help the business decide.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in accounting, financial control, audit or a comparable finance role.
• Strong knowledge of financial reporting, accounting principles and internal controls.
• A track record of improving processes, systems and ways of working.
• Strong analytical and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience in an international and fast-growing biotech environment is a strong plus.

Responsibilities

• Own the monthly, quarterly and annual close processes, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.
• Prepare management reports, analyses and insights that support business decision-making.
• Ensure the integrity of the general ledger.
• Coordinate the annual audit process and act as a key contact for external auditors.
• Strengthen and maintain internal controls, accounting policies and financial governance.
• Drive process improvements across accounting, reporting and finance operations.
• Lead finance systems optimisation initiatives.
• Support budgeting, forecasting and cash flow management activities.
• Partner with stakeholders across the organisation.
