Job summary

Lonza in Geleen, Netherlands, is seeking a Biotech Associate to contribute to the manufacturing of advanced cell therapy products in a GMP cleanroom. This hands-on role requires precision, teamwork and a strong quality mindset to bring life-changing therapies to patients.

You will perform cell culture, media preparation, expansion and harvesting in a regulated environment, document production accurately, report deviations, and collaborate with QA, QC and MSAT to improve operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in biotechnology or related field required.
• Ideally 2 years of GMP cleanroom experience.
• Strong attention to detail and quality mindset.
• Ability to follow procedures accurately and work in a structured manner.
• Good English communication skills (written and verbal).
• Willingness to work in shift pattern (evenings/weekends).
• A valid driver’s license due to limited public transport during shift hours.

The full-time annual base pay for this position in The Netherlands is expected to range between €32.250 and €45.150. Initial salary placement within this range will be determined based on role-related factors such as experience, qualifications, and expected contribution.

What you will do

Perform cell and tissue culture activities according to GMP procedures.

What we are looking for

Completed laboratory training, vocational education or a bachelor's degree in biotechnology, biology or a related field.

Ideally 2 years of experience working in a GMP cleanroom environment.

Strong attention to detail and a quality-focused mindset.

Ability to follow procedures accurately and work in a structured manner.

Good communication skills and a collaborative approach to teamwork.

Good English communication skills, both written and verbal.

Willingness to work in a shift pattern, including evenings and weekends. A valid driver's license is required due to limited public transport availability during shift hours.
