Job summary

Lonza in Geleen, Netherlands, is seeking an Aseptic Training Specialist to deliver onboarding and GMP training in an aseptic manufacturing environment. You will coach staff, monitor practices, and support continuous improvement of training standards and procedures.

The role is fully site-based, requiring in-person collaboration to ensure high quality, safe manufacturing and training outcomes. A BSc in science or related field and GMP training experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• A BSc or equivalent educational background in science or related discipline.
• Experience delivering GMP training in a pharmaceutical or manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge of aseptic behaviour, sterile manufacturing practices and regulatory requirements.
• Experience with electronic GxP training platforms.
• Strong communication and coordination skills with stakeholders.

Aseptic Training Specialist Geleen, Netherlands | Site-based

The actual location of this job is in Geleen, Netherlands. As an Aseptic Training Specialist I, you will help ensure that employees working in aseptic manufacturing environments have the knowledge, skills and behaviours needed to maintain high standards of aseptic practice. You will deliver hands-on training, coach employees in classified manufacturing areas, monitor aseptic behaviors and contribute to the continuous improvement of training standards and procedures. This is a fully site-based role. Working together in person supports close, real-time collaboration and the technical precision needed to manufacture medicines to the highest quality and safety standards.

The full-time annual base pay for this position in the Netherlands is expected to range between EUR 48,750 and EUR 68,250. Initial salary placement within this range will be determined based on role-related factors such as experience, qualifications, and expected contribution.

What you will do:

• Deliver and coordinate onboarding and GMP training focused on aseptic behavior and maintaining an aseptic manufacturing environment.
• Provide hands‑on coaching to employees and contractors entering aseptic and classified manufacturing areas, including supporting the aseptic behavior certification program.
• Monitor aseptic practices, gowning techniques and manufacturing activities to identify training needs and provide appropriate coaching or retraining.
• Analyse trends and develop training materials and improvement actions to strengthen aseptic behaviour and training standards.
• Support smoke studies, cleanroom management and the training and monitoring of personnel involved in cleaning activities.
• Generate reports and trend analyses and support Manufacturing and Quality Assurance teams with aseptic training and compliance activities.
• Support deviation investigations, CAPAs, risk assessments and audits related to microbial contamination, aseptic procedures and continuous improvement.
• Evaluate equipment modifications, process changes and new equipment or tools from an aseptic perspective and support appropriate procedural revisions and assessments.

What we are looking for:

• A BSc or equivalent educational background in science or a related discipline.
• Experience in a pharmaceutical, GMP or similarly regulated manufacturing environment, with experience delivering GMP training.
• Knowledge of aseptic behaviour, sterile manufacturing practices and relevant pharmaceutical regulatory requirements.
• Experience with electronic GxP training platforms and the ability to develop and deliver effective training materials.
• Strong communication and coordination skills, with the ability to work effectively with employees, contractors, Manufacturing and Quality Assurance stakeholders.
• A self‑starting, adaptable approach with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage changing priorities.
• The ability to analyse trends, identify improvement opportunities and translate findings into practical actions.
