Job summary

OLYX in Amsterdam is seeking a Broker to support and expand the Biomethane desk on a full-time basis. You will originate and facilitate transactions across the European biomethane market, connecting producers and project developers with gas companies, utilities, and trading houses.

Ideal candidates have at least 2 years of biomethane experience, strong knowledge of European gas markets or RECs, and a commercially driven, self-starter mindset.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of experience in biomethane and related products.
• Strong understanding of European gas markets and/or renewable energy certificates.
• Commercially driven with a deal-maker mindset.
• Self-starter: proactive, resilient, and entrepreneurial.
• Based in the Netherlands, or willing to relocate. Visa sponsorship is also available.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage relationships with biomethane producers, project developers, utilities, and clients.
• Source and structure biomethane deals (spot and long-term) across Europe.
• Monitor pricing and regulatory dynamics in biomethane and GoO markets.
• Build knowledge of RED II/III, GoOs, registries, mass balancing, and cross-border rules.
• Translate market changes into actionable trading insights for clients.
