Job summary

VAROPreem in Rotterdam, The Netherlands is seeking a Sustainability Analyst to ensure compliance with (inter)national legislation on renewable fuels in mineral oils and to support mass balance allocations of biofuels. You will work with Traders and the Sustainability Assurance team to maintain accurate biofuel administrations and timely documentation to customers and authorities.

Qualifications

• Experience with reporting and familiarity with legal or regulatory frameworks and/or commodity markets is required.
• Excellent command of English, both written and spoken; Dutch/German/French knowledge is beneficial.
• Affinity with ERP systems and digital tools; detail-oriented with emphasis on accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Compile internal reports on biofuel flows within VAROPreem’s network.
• Ensure timely submission of sustainability documentation for clients.
• Cooperate with suppliers to ensure compliance with biofuel administration requirements.
• Support the submission of biofuel reports to national authorities.
• Monitor relevant data, systems and processes and suggest improvements.
• Signal risks related to transactions and recommend internal controls.
