Job summary

OTC Flow in Amsterdam is seeking a Sustainability Specialist to lead sustainability certification efforts for renewable gas and biomethane. You will act as the internal expert on ISCC EU and ISCC PLUS, develop and maintain procedures, and work with commercial, operations, and renewables teams to embed compliance into scalable processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Environmental Sciences, Renewable Energy, Engineering, Sustainability, or related discipline.
• Proven experience with ISCC EU requirements in biomethane, renewable gas, biofuels, or environmental commodities markets.
• Strong understanding of sustainability certification frameworks and traceability systems.
• Excellent English communication, written and spoken.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication abilities.
• Ability to translate complex regulatory requirements into practical business processes.

Responsibilities

• Serve as internal expert on sustainability certification schemes for renewable gas and biomethane.
• Develop and improve procedures, methodologies, and controls for sustainability compliance.
• Monitor market and identify arbitrage opportunities on the biomethane market in Europe.
• Manage sustainability documentation: SDs, PoS, GOs, Mass Balance.
• Coordinate annual certification audits and ensure ongoing compliance.
• Translate regulatory changes into internal processes.
• Support commercial teams on sustainability requirements for transactions.
• Deliver training and knowledge-sharing sessions.
• Act as primary contact for certification bodies, auditors, and stakeholders.
• Engage in industry groups and monitor market developments.
