Job summary

Albert Heijn is hiring a delivery driver in Amersfoort. You’ll start by reading routes, delivering groceries door-to-door and staying safe while on the road. Training is provided, with opportunities to mentor new colleagues and advance to senior driver roles.

Shifts run 06:00–14:00 or 14:00–23:00, with part-time or full-time options from Monday to Sunday. After 13 weeks, pay rises to €18.65 per hour, including 25 vacation days, holiday pay, ADV allowance and a year-end bonus.

Qualifications

• Physically fit and able to lift crates up to 15 kilos.
• Speak Dutch or English to communicate with customers and planning staff.
• Own or have transport to Nijverheidsweg 73A in Amersfoort and a valid B driver’s license (manual).

Responsibilities

• Deliver groceries to customers’ doors across Amersfoort and surrounding areas.
• Follow delivery routes and ensure on-time, safe handovers.
• Support new colleagues during their first days and mentor peers as a senior driver in time.

Who you are

As a delivery driver at Albert Heijn, you are the hero who delivers groceries right to the customer’s door. You are physically fit and can easily lift crates up to 15 kilos. You recognize yourself in the following:

• You speak Dutch or English;
• You have transportation to get to Nijverheidsweg 73A in Amersfoort;
• You have a valid B driving license (stick shift).

What will you do

You start your day with a quick check of the van. After that you pick up your delivery routes of the day. Of you go! From city streets to hidden roads in small villages. As a driver for Albert Heijn in Amersfoort you never know what to expect. No worries, you keep it cool because you got well-prepared during your training period!

Where will you work

As an Albert Heijn driver, you work independently, but you’re never alone. You meet lots of customers every day and share a friendly chat. Stuck on something? No worries! You can always call Planning & Support for help. At the end of your shift, your colleague will be there to assist you and discuss your day. You can also drop by the Tempo-Team office anytime. As an extra thank you for your hard work, there are regular tasty treats. And no stress. The distribution center in Amersfoort is easy to reach with your own transportation.

After 13 weeks of work, your salary increases to € 18,65 per hour! This includes 25 vacation days, holiday pay, ADV allowance, and a year-end bonus.
