Job summary

Brunswick Corporation is seeking an Electrical Engineer to join our battery systems team in Amsterdam. You will design, develop and validate lithium battery technologies and manage sustaining activities across design, testing and documentation.

Qualifications

• Experience in electrical development or a related domain.
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, or a related field.
• Knowledge of electrochemistry, material science, and physics.
• Experience with battery testing equipment and characterization techniques.
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical and communication skills.
• Ability to work in multidisciplinary teams and manage multiple projects.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop new battery technologies, systems and components.
• Implement and maintain best practices in battery design, validation and testing.
• Optimize processes to enhance efficiency, quality and scalability.
• Conduct performance and safety testing of battery cells and packs.
• Analyse data to evaluate battery efficiency, lifespan and reliability.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (R&D, manufacturing, QA).
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues during development and testing.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and safety regulations.
• Prepare technical documentation, reports, and specifications.
• Stay updated on advancements in battery materials and technologies.
• Be the main contact for product management for battery questions.
