Job summary

Staff Solutions in Middelburg is seeking a Battery Fitment Salesperson to actively promote and sell the company’s products and services to prospective clients while delivering exceptional customer service.

Responsibilities include sourcing new business, negotiating with clients, managing stock and ERP usage, and collaborating with marketing to grow brand presence; you will monitor performance and report to the Regional Manager.

Qualifications

• Matric (Grade 12) or equivalent.
• NQF Level 5 Certificate in Sales or related field.
• 1–3 years’ experience in a Sales Representative or similar role within retail or related industry.

Responsibilities

• Sales Operations: Source and secure new business opportunities to meet targets; manage revenue through negotiations; research market trends; develop and implement strategies; build client relationships; track performance and report to stakeholders; attend trainings and events; identify and open new accounts; use ERP to monitor sales; provide monthly feedback to Regional Manager; support marketing initiatives; host trade events; initiate promotions.
• Credit and Risk Management: Assist in processing credit applications; work with Debtors for timely payments; maintain accounts below 45 days overdue; proactively manage high‑risk accounts.
• Asset and Equipment Management: Ensure company vehicles and equipment are maintained; attend monthly reviews with Regional Manager.
• Stock Control: Coordinate with warehouse for stock availability; support consignment stock; monitor buying trends for forecasting; manage stock rotation and replenishment; monitor claims stock.
• Compliance: Operate within controls; report risks; promote regulatory compliance.
• Customer Service: Maintain relationships; resolve issues; liaise with internal teams; deliver product and pricing presentations; support data management; provide marketing materials and training on claims procedures.
• Cost Control: Promote efficient resource use; monitor pricing and gross profit; minimize costs; report budget deviations.
