Job summary

Sofitel Legend The Grand Amsterdam invites motivated interns to join our Banqueting team. You’ll assist with event setup, service delivery, and post-event closeout, learning the full flow of banqueting operations in a luxurious setting.

As a hospitality student, you’ll observe and participate in weddings, conferences, and private dinners, gaining hands-on experience while contributing to memorable guest experiences. English proficiency is essential; Dutch a plus.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in Hospitality (Management) program.
• Available for a minimum of 5 months.
• Eye for detail and a proactive, hands-on mentality.
• Flexible, enthusiastic, and eager to learn.
• Excellent English communication skills; Dutch is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Experience every aspect of Banqueting operations from setup to service and closing.
• Learn to anticipate guest needs and deliver personalized service.

What will you be doing?

As part of our team, you will experience every aspect of our Banqueting operations. From the initial room set-up to flawless service during the event, and the perfect closing, you ensure that everything runs smoothly and elegantly. Whether it is an intimate celebration or an elaborate conference, you will learn to anticipate the needs of every guest and deliver personalized service, all while working in one of Amsterdam’s most iconic venues.

Your Responsibilities Will Include

• Preparing and setting up our historic banqueting rooms for events of all sizes and styles.
• Working together with the team during events by delivering impeccable service with attention to detail.
• Assisting in the smooth coordination and execution of weddings, meetings, private dinners, and social gatherings.
• Collaborating with various departments to guarantee an exceptional guest experience from start to finish.
