Job summary

NS is seeking a Backend Developer to build and maintain scalable services for the NS app. You will develop serverless backend services in TypeScript deployed on AWS and collaborate with a cross-functional team to translate business needs into robust technical solutions.

Qualifications

• Higher professional education level (Dutch HBO level) or equivalent working and thinking.
• Experience developing serverless applications on AWS and deploying with CDK.
• Willing to learn other technology stacks and broaden knowledge.
• Enthusiastic, responsible and collaborative with team spirit.
• Experience writing automated tests (unit, integration and end-to-end).
• Interest in latest backend developments.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain backend services in TypeScript on AWS.
• Collaborate with Business Analyst, Product Owner and other developers to translate requirements into technical solutions.
• Write clean, structured code and address technical debt and security vulnerabilities.
• Improve quality, reliability and robustness through test-driven development and monitoring with Datadog.
• Stay up-to-date with backend tech and share knowledge with team and wider community.
