Job summary

Diligentcorporation is seeking a skilled Backend Engineer to help build and evolve their Third Party Risk Management SaaS platform. You will have ownership over features, work in a product-focused team, and use modern AI tools to enhance the coding process.

The ideal candidate has 3–5 years of experience with PHP and Laravel within a TALL stack, a strong grasp of RESTful APIs, and a solid understanding of relational databases. This role offers the opportunity to mentor peers and contribute to architectural decisions.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of professional software engineering experience in an agile environment.
• Strong experience with PHP and Laravel in a TALL stack.
• Solid understanding of relational databases including data modelling.
• Experience designing and building RESTful APIs.
• Practical experience with AWS or similar cloud platforms.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain backend features and RESTful APIs.
• Own well-defined stories from implementation through deployment.
• Contribute to architectural discussions and technical decisions.
• Review code and improve test coverage.
• Mentor Software Engineer I colleagues.
