Job summary

Philips is seeking a Software Engineer - Backend for Azurion Eye. You will design and implement secure, scalable backend services and data pipelines to support the clinical data lake and movement tooling in a regulated health tech environment.

You will collaborate with product, UX, QA, data/AI teams, mentor engineers, and contribute to CI/CD, observability, and production reliability while working in a hybrid office setting in Best, Netherlands.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, IT, or a related field.
• 5+ years of end-to-end software development experience.
• Strong backend expertise in Golang and REST API design.
• Experience with event-driven architectures and containerized microservices.
• Solid database design and performance tuning with PostgreSQL and MS SQL.
• Proven collaboration and leadership with agile teams.

Responsibilities

• Design and build secure, scalable backend services and microservices.
• Develop data pipelines and data lake components.
• Implement secure, compliant data services for clinical platforms.
• Contribute to engineering best practices and code quality.
