Job summary

Oneleet is a remote-first security and compliance platform aiming to simplify cybersecurity for global customers. We are hiring a backend engineer who will develop and maintain Go services and APIs, design efficient PostgreSQL schemas, and build reliable integrations with third-party systems.

You'll work with a fast-moving startup team, focus on observability, security best practices, and improving developer experience across the engineering org.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience with Go and designing REST APIs.
• Experience writing optimized PostgreSQL queries.
• Comfortable building reliable integrations with third-party APIs and services.
• Scrappy; prior startup experience and not afraid to get their hands dirty.
• Pragmatic; knows how to build things fast without unnecessarily complicating things.
• Excellent communication skills across all levels of technical proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain backend services and APIs in Go.
• Design and optimize PostgreSQL schemas and queries for high-volume data.
• Build reliable orchestration and integration layers across internal and third-party systems.
• Implement metrics, distributed tracing, and observability across services.
• Collaborate with the Engineering team on improving the overall Developer Experience.
• Implement security best practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain backend services and APIs in Go.
• Design and optimize PostgreSQL schemas and queries for high-volume data.

• Collaborate with frontend, fullstack, and the broader engineering team.

• Pragmatic; knows how to build things fast without unnecessarily complicating things.
• Expert time management; we work with clients all over the world. We don't expect anyone to be working 24/7 - but we are looking for someone comfortable operating outside of the 9-5 mentality.
• Comfortable wearing many hats and eagerly adjusts to shifting priorities.
• Experience in (and thrives in) a fast-moving, startup engineering environment.
• Excellent communication skills across all levels of technical proficiency.
• Experience with architecting, building and maintaining SaaS platform backends.

Bonus Experience

• Experience with gRPC or similar tool.
• Experience with TypeScript.
• Experience with workflow engines or queue-based job orchestration.
• Experience in the information security field.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or related field.

Offers for candidates in higher cost-of-labor markets (e.g., San Francisco, New York, Zurich) may fall at or above the top of the posted range, while offers in other markets are benchmarked to local standards and are lower. Within any range, individual compensation is determined by work location, skills and experience demonstrated through the interview process, and relevant education or training.
