Job summary

Parking Network BV is seeking a Backend Developer to build and evolve backend services for our mobile apps within the Nexus Framework. You will ship three to four releases weekly, take end-to-end ownership from design to monitoring, and contribute to bi-weekly sprint reviews.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in an IT-related field with 3+ years of experience.
• Solid understanding of databases and documentation practices.
• Hands-on AWS experience with TypeScript.
• Bonus skills toward full stack: React, Bit, Python.
• Experience with MQTT is a plus.
• Excellent communication and a lean mindset.

What you will do

Build and evolve backend services for our mobile apps within the Nexus Framework.
Ship frequently with your team, aiming for three to four releases per week.
Work lean and improve continuously.
Take end-to-end ownership: design, implementation, automated and technical testing, code reviews, documentation, logging and monitoring.
Make sound technical decisions and contribute to bi-weekly sprint reviews.

The team

You’ll join an international team of six, mainly based at our HQ in Zoetermeer. We collaborate closely, run daily stand-ups, and invite 360-degree feedback. We value knowledge sharing over speed for speed’s sake. Together we work on TKH Security’s newest product.

What you bring

• Bachelor’s degree in an IT-related field and at least 3 years of relevant experience.
• Solid understanding of databases and documentation practices.
• Hands-on experience with AWS using TypeScript.
• Bonus skills to grow toward full stack: React, Bit, Python.
• Experience with MQTT is a plus.
• Excellent communication, a lean mindset and a willingness to take initiative and make well considered trade-offs.
• Fluent English. Dutch is a plus, not a must.
• You live in the Netherlands and within commuting distance of Zoetermeer.
• You can attend interviews at our office and work on site on a regular basis.
