Job summary

Almaviva Group is seeking a highly experienced backend developer to design and maintain advanced .NET 8.0+ services in a micro-services architecture. You will ensure scalable, secure, and reliable code that meets SLAs while collaborating with cross-functional teams.

You will work with data across APIs, SQL Server, Elasticsearch, and Redis, review PRs, implement tests, and manage CI/CD pipelines. SCRUM delivery and thorough documentation are expected.

Qualifications

• More than 15 years in IT and more than nine years of software development experience.
• Extensive backend with .Net Framework 8.0+ and C# proficiency.
• Strong experience in designing scalable back-end components and micro-services.
• Experience with containers/orchestrators (Kubernetes or Docker Swarm).
• Knowledge of OAuth and identity solutions in production contexts.
• Proficient in CI/CD, Azure DevOps and Git workflows.

Responsibilities

• Write and support backend code in .Net 8.0+ using common libraries.
• Develop and maintain a micro-services solution focusing on reliability and security.
• Create services reading/writing data across APIs, SQL Server, and data stores like Elasticsearch/Redis.
• Review pull requests and implement tests (unit/integration).
• Build release pipelines, TestPlans, and Helm charts for Kubernetes deployments.
• Contribute to documentation and collaborate in SCRUM teams.

Job description

• Write and support backend code in .Net 8.0+ using some of the most common libraries (Newtonsoft.Json, OpenTelemetry, Swagger, Bogus, AutoBogus, Moq);
• Participate in the .NET implementation of a micro-services solution, being able to write backend code in a reliable, fast, scalable, and secure way, satisfying requirements and service level agreements;
• Write and support services that read/transform/write data from multiple sources to multiple destinations (APIs, SQL Server, Elasticsearch, Redis, ActiveMq, Graph databases, csv files);
• Review and approve Pull Request created by teammates;
• Implement validation mechanisms as unit and integration tests;
• Create and manage build and release pipelines and TestPlans in Azure Devops;
• Create Kubernetes helm charts for all supported applications and services;
• Write and support complex SQL Server Stored Procedures;
• Create Kibana dashboards and Elasticsearch queries;
• Write OAUTH mechanisms. ADFS knowledge is a plus;
• Work comfortably within a team. Follow SCRUM methodology procedures and disciplines; Estimate the work to be done upon request;
• Account for secure coding practices, as well as logging and auditing features;
• Communicate in a clean, concise way, not only to peers but also to upper layers when needed.

• More than three years of experience in designing and developing scalable back-end components (REST APIs, integrations, micro-services)
• More than two years of experience with containers and orchestrators (e.g Kubernetes or Docker Swarm)
• Experience in more than one production-ready projects with OAUTH standard
• More than three years of experience in working in an agile/scrum environment
• More than two years of experience with highly scalable systems
• More than one year of experience in working in an international/multi-cultural environment
• Good knowledge of application development environments
• Good knowledge of the micro-services design patterns
• Good knowledge of asynchronous programming and messaging patterns
• Good knowledge of .Net Framework 8.0+ (C#)
• Good knowledge of Git and the main branch strategies (git flow)
• Good knowledge of relational databases (SQL Server)
• Good knowledge of message brokers (ActiveMq, RabbitMq or Apache Kafka)
• Good knowledge of CI/CD systems such as Microsoft Azure Devops (e.g. Pipelines, Artifacts, TestPlans)
• Good knowledge of OOP paradigms and SOLID principles
• Ability to draft clear and complete documentation for full stack solutions (including design and architecture)
• Knowledge of using Linux shell and basic Linux concepts (e.g., users, groups, rights)
