Job summary

Thaleria SA in the Netherlands seeks an experienced Senior .NET Backend Developer to design and implement scalable services in .NET 8.0+. You will work on REST APIs and micro-services, leveraging Azure DevOps for CI/CD and writing robust tests.

You will collaborate in an SCRUM team, review pull requests, and contribute to secure coding practices, logging, and documentation. Knowledge of Kubernetes, Docker, and messaging systems will be valued.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of studies plus 9+ years of professional software development experience, or 3+ years of studies with 10+ years of experience.
• Over nine years in software development.
• More than five years of experience in back-end development with .NET in the past seven years.
• Experience in designing and developing scalable back-end components (REST APIs, integrations, micro-services).
• More than two years of experience with containers and orchestrators (e.g. Kubernetes or Docker).
• Experience in multiple production-ready projects with OAuth.
• Over three years in an agile/scrum environment.
• Knowledge of SQL Server and relational databases.
• Experience with messaging systems (ActiveMQ, RabbitMQ, Kafka).
• Familiarity with Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines, tests and release management.
• Strong understanding of OOP and SOLID; unit testing.
• Ability to draft clear documentation for full-stack solutions.

Responsibilities

• Write and support backend code in .Net 8.0+ using common libraries such as Newtonsoft.Json, OpenTelemetry, Swagger, Bogus, AutoBogus, Moq.
• Participate in the .NET implementation of a micro-services solution with scalable, secure backend code.
• Read/transform/write data from multiple sources to APIs, SQL Server, Elasticsearch, Redis, ActiveMq, Graph databases, CSVs.
• Review and approve pull requests from teammates.
• Implement validation mechanisms as unit and integration tests.
• Create and manage build and release pipelines and TestPlans in Azure DevOps.
• Create Kubernetes helm charts for all supported applications and services.
• Write and support complex SQL Server Stored Procedures.
• Create Kibana dashboards and Elasticsearch queries.
• Write OAuth mechanisms; ADFS knowledge is a plus.
• Work within a SCRUM team and estimate work upon request.
• Write technical documentation; ensure secure coding practices, logging and auditing.
• Communicate clearly with peers and upper layers as needed.

Tasks:

• Write and support backend code in .Net 8.0+ using some of the most common libraries (Newtonsoft.Json, OpenTelemetry, Swagger, Bogus, AutoBogus, Moq);


• Participate in the .NET implementation of a micro-services solution, being able to write backend code in a reliable, fast, scalable, and secure way, satisfying requirements and service level agreements;


• Write and support services that read/transform/write data from multiple sources to multiple destinations (APIs, SQL Server, Elasticsearch, Redis, ActiveMq, Graph databases, csv files);


• Review and approve Pull Request created by teammates;


• Implement validation mechanisms as unit and integration tests;


• Create and manage build and release pipelines and TestPlans in Azure Devops;


• Create Kubernetes helm charts for all supported applications and services;


• Write and support complex SQL Server Stored Procedures;


• Create Kibana dashboards and Elasticsearch queries;


• Write OAUTH mechanisms. ADFS knowledge is a plus;

Requirements:

• 4 years of studies + at least 9 years of professional experience OR 3 years of studies + at least 10 years of professional experience


• More than nine (9) years of experience in Software Development


• More than five (5) years of experience in Back-End Development with .Net Framework in the past seven (7) years


• More than three (3) years of experience in designing and developing scalable back-end components (REST APIs, integrations, micro-services)


• More than two (2) years of experience with containers and orchestrators (e.g Kubernetes or Docker Swarm)


• Experience in more than one (1) production-ready projects with OAUTH standard


• More than three (3) years of experience in working in an agile/scrum environment


• More than two (2) years of experience with highly scalable systems


• Good knowledge of application development environments


• Good knowledge of the micro-services design patterns


• Good knowledge of asynchronous programming and messaging patterns


• Good knowledge of .Net Framework 8.0+ (C#)
