Job summary

Empiric is seeking a Back End Developer for scalable backend systems in Amsterdam. You will work on C# .NET 8, ASP.NET Core MVC, and MediatR with complex API contracts used by mobile apps and partners.

Lead experience and architecture knowledge are required to drive releases and maintain backward compatibility. You will integrate with AWS services (ECS Fargate, DynamoDB, Redis, SQS) and use Terraform, GitLab CI, and observability tools.

Back End Developer with C# .NET. - at scale (100k+ active users) – AWS – JSON – MediatR - Amsterdam (hybrid / remote)

Empiric has received an exciting opportunity for a Back End Developer with 5+ years’ experience in C# on .NET 8 and ASP.NET Core MVC. Also 2 consumer-facing backend projects at scale (100k+ active users) working on the core service.

Previous experience of designing or maintaining an API contract consumed by clients they do not control (mobile apps, partners), versioning and backward compatibility.

The Back End Developer must have Lead experience plus knowledge of Architecture and releases

Skills/experience:

• C# on .NET 8 and ASP.NET Core MVC
• MediatR handlers and pipeline behaviours, with FluentValidation.

Term: 6 to 12 Months plus extensions
