Job summary

STAFIDE is seeking an Azure Virtual Desktop Engineer to manage and optimize our AVD environments in Amsterdam. You will configure, deploy, and troubleshoot AVD components, including Host Pools, Session Hosts, and FSLogix profiles, while collaborating with Intune, DevOps, and application teams to ensure high availability and security.

The role involves maintaining SOPs and driving automation of deployments and operational tasks within a modern digital workplace.

Qualifications

4+ years of experience as an Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) Engineer.
Deep knowledge of VDI technologies, particularly Microsoft Azure Virtual Desktop.
Hands-on experience with Azure, Nerdio, FSLogix, and policies.
Experience with Azure portal and third-party AVD management tools.

Responsibilities

Manage and administer Azure Virtual Desktop environments via the Azure portal and Nerdio.
Configure AVD settings and deploy new Azure and AVD functionalities.
Analyze and resolve end-user issues related to virtual desktops and apps.
Provision Host Pools and Session Hosts per business needs.
Manage golden images and create new images as required.
Collaborate with application teams to resolve image-related issues.
Configure FSLogix profiles and RD Session Host policies.
Coordinate with Intune for OS and app updates.
Maintain SOPs for AVD operations.
Design and manage Disaster Recovery (DR) solutions for AVD.
Work with DevOps to automate AVD deployments and tasks.
