Job summary

Doghouse Recruitment is seeking an Azure Security Engineer to own security on a live Azure platform, with deep Entra ID and Defender for Cloud expertise. You’ll work across Terraform, Azure DevOps, Ansible, and PowerShell, ensuring secure identity and infrastructure as code.

The role balances design, deployment, and DR testing in a regulated, client-facing environment. You will join a multi-tenant platform team in Amsterdam, three days in the office and the rest remote, with a strong emphasis on

Qualifications

• 6+ years in Azure infrastructure or cloud engineering with security focus
• Entra ID in depth: RBAC, CA, PIM, identity governance
• Microsoft Sentinel and Defender for Cloud, including writing your own KQL
• Infrastructure as code with Terraform, plus Azure DevOps pipelines and PowerShell
• Azure networking: segmentation, private endpoints, and private resources
• Software supply chain and vulnerability management or appetite to own it
• Fluent English, Dutch is a plus

Responsibilities

• Own the security side of a live Azure platform and build it yourself
• Lead Entra ID security controls: RBAC, CA, PIM, governance
• Use Defender for Cloud and Sentinel; write custom KQL
• Work with Terraform, Azure DevOps, Ansible, and PowerShell
• Handle networking, private endpoints, and monitoring with Datadog/Azure Monitor
• Contribute to secure software supply chain and vulnerability management
• Participate in design sessions, deployments and DR tests; heavy implementation first
