Job summary

Doghouse Recruitment is assisting a client in Amsterdam who needs a Cloud Security Engineer focused on Azure, Entra ID, and policy-as-code. You will harden live environments, manage identity governance, and build guardrails into pipelines using Terraform and Azure DevOps.

The role emphasises security across supply chains and AI tooling in regulated settings. Expect to work with Defender for Cloud and Sentinel, write custom KQL, and operate in a greenfield yet mission-critical context.

Qualifications

• 6+ years in Azure infrastructure or cloud engineering with security focus.
• Deep experience with Entra ID: CA, PIM, RBAC and identity governance.
• Proficient in Sentinel and Defender for Cloud; able to write custom KQL.
• Strong Terraform and Azure DevOps pipelines experience; PowerShell; Ansible.
• Experience with supply chain security and vulnerability management.
• Comfort in regulated environments (DORA, NIS, ISO) and audit readiness.
• Fluent English; Dutch is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Secure a live Azure platform from identity to egress rules.
• Implement guardrails in code via Terraform and Azure DevOps.
• Manage conditional access, PIM, RBAC and identity governance.
• Own security posture, detection with Defender for Cloud and Sentinel.
• Address supply chain security and vulnerability management.
• Collaborate with teams building with AI agents within regulated frameworks.
