Job summary

Doghouse Recruitment is seeking an Azure Security Engineer to own the security of a live Azure platform in Amsterdam. The role focuses on Entra ID, Defender for Cloud, and Sentinel, with IaC via Terraform and Azure DevOps pipelines.

You will work in a hybrid setup with three days in the Amsterdam office and the rest remote, joining a senior team that handles critical, regulated environments and pushes security through automation and AI-enabled tooling.

Qualifications

• 6+ years in Azure infrastructure or cloud engineering with security focus
• Entra ID in depth: RBAC, Conditional Access, Privileged Identity Management, identity governance
• Microsoft Sentinel and Defender for Cloud, including writing your own KQL
• Infrastructure as code with Terraform, plus Azure DevOps pipelines and PowerShell
• Azure networking: segmentation, private endpoints, and what makes a resource private
• Software supply chain and vulnerability management, or the appetite to own it here
• Fluent English, Dutch is a plus

Responsibilities

• Own the security of a live Azure platform, implement security controls end-to-end
• Lead Entra ID configurations: RBAC, CA, PIM, governance
• Utilise Defender for Cloud and Sentinel with custom KQL
• Manage IaC with Terraform, Azure DevOps pipelines, and PowerShell
• Handle Azure networking, private endpoints and resource privacy
• Oversee software supply chain and vulnerability management
• Participate in design sessions, deployments and disaster recovery tests
