Job summary

DEPT® in the Netherlands seeks an Associate Designer Director to shape craft vision and elevate design excellence across accounts. You will guide multidisciplinary teams, mentor talent, and steer strategic direction of the visual design practice while representing DEPT® externally to strengthen our creative reputation.

You’ll influence senior stakeholders, drive operational standards, and contribute to growth and thought leadership within a hybrid working model.

Qualifications

10+ years in visual/UI/UX design or similar discipline.
Leadership experience guiding multidisciplinary teams.
Strong portfolio showing strategic impact and system-level thinking.

Responsibilities

Own craft direction across complex projects and accounts, ensuring work is aligned, elevated and unmistakably DEPT®.
Raise the bar by defining standards, sharpening processes, and enabling teams to deliver consistently exceptional work.
Guide clients and internal teams with high-level creative and product direction beyond the brief.
Drive innovation through experimentation and curiosity, creating work that sets benchmarks and wins awards.
Shape the future of the design practice by evolving craft vision and mentoring talent.
Support pitches with creative POVs linking craft to business impact.
Represent DEPT externally via talks and publications to amplify our reputation.
