Job summary

Randstad is seeking an Associate in Global Corporate Development & M&A to drive end-to-end transactions and shape the company’s global strategy. You will lead financial modeling, due diligence, and investment memo preparation while collaborating with the Global Executive Board from Randstad’s hybrid HQ in Diemen.

The role offers performance-based bonuses, share purchase options, and a flexible hybrid work arrangement, with 2–5 days on-site at the Global HQ.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of direct M&A experience in IB, boutique, Big4, or corporate M&A.
• Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, or related field.

Responsibilities

• Drive end-to-end transaction execution across global buy-side, sell-side, JV, and divestments.
• Draft investment memos, board decks, and strategic narratives.
• Develop financial models incl. DCF, merger models, and synergy analyses.
• Coordinate due diligence with cross-functional teams (Legal, Tax, HR, Finance, IT).

Experience Required: 2–5 years direct M&A experience (Investment Banking, M&A Boutique, Big4, or Corporate M&A)

Reporting To: Managing Director, Global Head of Corporate Development and M&A

What does the Associate Corporate Development and M&A role involve?

As an Associate in the Corporate Development & M&A team, you will drive end-to-end transaction execution across global buy-side, sell-side, joint ventures, and divestments. Working directly alongside the Head of Corporate Development & M&A and the Global Executive Board, your primary focus includes:

• Financial Modeling & Valuation: Structuring complex financial models including discounted cash flow (DCF), merger models, trading multiples, and synergy impact analyses.
• Deal Execution & Due Diligence: Managing virtual data rooms (VDRs), issuing non-binding offers, and leading cross-functional tracks across Legal, Tax, HR, Finance, and IT.
• Market Screening: Mapping the global HR service landscape to qualify high-value strategic target opportunities.
• Executive Decision Support: Drafting investment memos, board decks, and strategic narratives detailing transaction risks, financial mechanics, and post-merger integration tracking.
