Job summary

Clarks is seeking an Assistant Store Manager for Amsterdam The Style Outlet. The role supports the Store Manager in all store operations and leads the sales team to achieve commercial objectives.

The position deputises during the Store Manager's absence and is based on an 32/38 hour per week contract with an 18 EUR/hour rate. Responsibilities include coaching the team to hit sales targets, maintaining a great shopping environment, utilizing CSAT insights, and ensuring Visual Merchandising

Qualifications

• Experience leading a sales team in a retail environment.
• Proven ability to coach and develop staff to reach targets.
• Strong communication skills to provide clarity to the team.
• Capable of inspiring a positive, energetic store culture.
• Good English proficiency for roles outside the UK and RoI.

Responsibilities

• Support the Store Manager to manage store operations and lead the sales team to achieve objectives.

Assistant Store Manager - Amsterdam The Style Outlet

18 eur/hour

Contract: 32/38 hrs per week

Job Overview:

Support the Store Manager to manage all aspects of the store operations and lead the sales team members to ensure commercial objectives are achieved

Deputising Store Manager absence when required.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate excellent selling behaviours, being a role model to the sales team to consistently deliver personal key performance indicators
• Support the Store Manager to engage, coach and develop the team to ensure the store delivers its sales targets and related key performance indicators.
• Oversee the sales floor, demonstrating excellent Floor Control skills to ensure the store is great place to shop.
• Consistently review and utilise store CSAT insight to identify actions to improve the customer experience and store operations
• Support in the delivery of store operations and Visual Merchandising principles to deliver best practice retail standards and create the required shopping experience
• Continually upskill in knowledge of our products to be a product expert, role modelling and educating the team to utilise product knowledge to drive sales
• Organise and prioritise required tasks to ensure business needs are met whilst protecting sales and service in store
• Provide regular feedback to the team to motivate and engage to improve performance where required.
• Support the Store Manager with managing people issues as they occur to avoid escalation into more complex issues
• Build capability and understanding to effectively manage all aspects of the store in the absence of the store manager

Qualifications/Experience

• Good retail experience including in a management role, leading a team
• Strong coaching skills
• Effective communicator who can provide clarity to individuals or teams on what is required of them and why
• Ability to inspire and motivate a store team through injecting pride, passion and energy into creating a positive working environment.
• Proficient in supporting people-processes and team development
• Good experience in delivering and exceeding sales and targets
• Proactive with good organisation skills to initiate completion of tasks without direction or

supervision

• Good commercial skills
• IT proficient with the ability to use a range of systems to manage in store activity
• Good knowledge of and experience in Visual Merchandising
