Job summary

FMTC Safety, located near Amsterdam in Badhoevedorp, seeks an Assistant Financial Controller to support financial operations for France and Belgium. You will own the month-end close, prepare accruals and reconciliations, and manage AP/AR with payroll and HR-related accounting support.

The role requires fluency in French and English, a Finance/Accounting degree, and 2+ years in a similar role, with Excel and Exact Online familiarity.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or a related field.
• Over 2 years of experience in accounting, finance administration or a similar role.
• Solid grasp of accounting principles, month-end closing and reconciliations (AP/AR).
• Proficiency in Excel and comfort working with accounting systems (Exact Online).
• Fluency in French and English is a must.

Responsibilities

• Own the month-end close and lead reporting for France and Belgium.
• Prepare accruals, prepayments and balance sheet reconciliations; investigate discrepancies.
• Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, invoices, bank reconciliations; support VAT, payroll and HR-related accounting.
• Coordinate payroll and HR administration with external providers; document onboarding/offboarding and insurance matters.
• Support weekly AR and cash-flow reporting and understand P&L and Balance Sheet.
