Job summary

WE Fashion is seeking an Assistant Buyer for our Kidswear line in the Netherlands. You will work with production samples, international suppliers and analyze data to shape collections.

From trend to store delivery, you’ll support the buying team to ensure timely, well-priced and high-quality products. You will assist the Buyer, Designer and Merchandiser to translate trends and sales data into compelling Kidswear offers, while coordinating with departments including E-commerce and suppliers.

Have you recently completed your fashion education and are you looking for an exciting starting position with good career opportunities? As Assistant Buyer you will be working with production samples, international suppliers and analyzing data for our Kidswear collections. Something for you? Then pull out all the stops as Assistant Buyer and become a trendsetter at WE Fashion!

From the first trend to the collection that ultimately lands in stores, as an Assistant Buyer you will be closely involved in the entire buying process for our Kidswear collections. Together with your Buyer, Designer, and Merchandiser, you will translate trends and sales data into collections that appeal to our customers and are offered at the right price point.

You will support the Buyer with everything needed to ensure the collection reaches our stores at the right time, at the right price, and with the right quality. You will work closely with various other departments within WE Fashion, including the E-commerce team, as well as our (international) suppliers. You will keep track of the different buying activities and deadlines, ensuring everything stays on schedule.

You will make sure purchase orders are accurately processed in our buying system and that all details are correct. During fitting sessions, you will have a keen eye for detail and provide clear comments and feedback. You will then liaise with our suppliers to ensure they understand exactly what is needed to bring the product to the desired quality.

Your involvement doesn't stop once the goods have been delivered. You will prepare various meetings and support the analysis of sales results for our Kidswear collections. What is selling well? Where are the opportunities? And what insights can we take into the next collection?

In this role, you will combine commercial insight, strong organisational skills, and your passion for Kidswear. It's a varied position where you will work with different teams to create collections that children and their parents will love.

• You have a completed bachelor's degree and have gained experience within a buying department in the fashion industry, for example through an internship or your first professional role.
• You bring structure, maintain oversight and know how to prioritise effectively, even when managing multiple tasks at the same time.
• You work accurately, have a strong eye for detail and make sure nothing slips through the cracks.
• You have a passion for fashion, stay on top of trends and know how to translate them into commercial opportunities.
• You are curious, eager to learn and enjoy working collaboratively in a dynamic retail environment.
