- Academic background with a PhD and potential to develop an independent research line.
- Strong understanding of complex systems and its application to urban sustainability.
- Experience or affinity for interdisciplinary teaching and curriculum design.
Responsibilities
- Initiate and develop research in urban and regional modelling for Heerlen.
- Develop and apply modelling approaches to sustainability and regional development.
- Teach courses in complex systems theory and urban sustainability.
- Coordinate course development and curriculum innovation.
- Supervise theses and mentor students; apply PBL in teaching.
- Build collaborations across research groups and external partners.
