Job summary

HIH Real Estate is seeking an experienced real estate professional to manage international commercial portfolios, including office, retail and logistics assets. The role emphasizes negotiation with tenants and service providers, plus driving ESG and sustainable strategies.

You will work across Europe with a focus on German and international markets, bringing an entrepreneurial mindset and strong accounting awareness to budgeting, reporting and portfolio optimization.

Qualifications

• Completed studies in business administration and/or commercial training with additional real estate qualification (e.g. real estate economist).
• Several years of professional experience in real estate; ideally asset management for European portfolio properties.
• High level of entrepreneurial thinking and teamwork; openness to working with other cultures.
• Confident appearance, assertiveness and strong negotiating skills.
• General understanding of fund accounting processes and requests.
• Very good MS Office skills (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
• Fluent in English and Dutch; German is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Selection and management of service providers - in particular commercial and technical property management in Germany and abroad as well as development and maintenance of a corresponding network
• Management of letting processes - active involvement in lease negotiations
• Active support of major tenants
• Development and implementation of sustainable property strategies incl. ESG criteria
• Taking over the role of building owner in expansion and modernization measures
• Ongoing identification of cost drivers and yield-reducing factors as well as development and implementation of innovative and sustainable solutions
• Ongoing property valuation (DCF), yield and profitability calculations, reconciliation of forecast and budget planning
• Preparation of budgets and business plans, reporting and controlling for the assigned portfolio

We are looking for

• Very good MS Office skills (especially Word, PowerPoint and Excel)
• A very good command of English and Dutch, both written and spoken, German language skills are an advantage
• Willingness to travel
