Job summary

JBT Marel in the Netherlands is seeking an experienced Assembly Supervisor to lead our assembly team (46 direct reports) at the Lichtenvoorde facility. You will drive daily operations, embed safety and quality standards, and mentor team leaders to achieve production targets.

You are a decisive, hands-on leader with a track record in high-mix, low-volume manufacturing, lean transformation, and cross-functional collaboration across international teams.

Qualifications

• Proven supervisory experience in manufacturing/assembly.
• Leading teams in a technical/industrial setting.
• Experience in high-mix, low-volume environments with project focus.
• Familiarity with Lean/5S or similar continuous improvement methods.
• Experience with HR processes including performance reviews and absenteeism management.

Responsibilities

• Lead assembly team leaders, set direction and high standards.
• Ensure safety, quality, and adherence to company rules across the floor.
• Allocate tasks based on priorities and individual competencies.
• Monitor progress and KPIs; implement corrective actions as needed.
• Provide feedback and support HR processes including onboarding and development.
• Drive cost reduction, productivity and quality improvements.
• Coordinate with other departments to enable smooth cross‑functional collaboration.
