Job summary

JBT Marel, based in Lichtenvoorde, Netherlands, is seeking an Assembly Mechanic to join our skilled assembly teams of about 45 colleagues. You will assemble, test and inspect machines and modules according to technical drawings and customer specifications.

You are precise, quality‑minded and enjoy teamwork, with a passion for building high‑quality machines. You will contribute to continuous improvement of assembly processes and ensure safety and environmental standards are met.

Qualifications

• MBO-level technical education in a relevant field such as Mechatronics, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
• Experience with assembling mechanical and/or mechatronic modules is an advantage; graduates are welcome.
• Ability to read and apply technical drawings on the shop floor.
• You work accurately with a strong eye for quality.
• You are a team player who enjoys collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Assemble modules and complete machines based on technical drawings and work instructions.
• Ensure timely completion and delivery according to schedules and standard times.
• Perform inspections, checks, adjustments and functional tests during and after assembly.
• Work in accordance with safety, quality and environmental standards.
• Operate tools safely and with certified lifting and transport equipment where applicable.
• Participate in assembly team meetings and contribute to process improvements.
