ASML's Virtual Computing Platform team in Veldhoven offers an internship focused on cloud cost visibility, forecasting, and optimization through AI. You will collaborate with cloud architects, platform engineers, product teams, and FinOps stakeholders to develop practical AI solutions that help engineering teams understand spending patterns and identify cost-saving opportunities.
The role emphasizes hands-on prototyping, evaluation, and presenting adoptable guidance to stakeholders.
The Virtual Computing Platform team in Veldhoven develops and operates cloud-based platforms that support software development, testing, and qualification activities across ASML. As cloud adoption continues to grow, understanding and managing cloud expenditure becomes increasingly important. Cloud spending is often distributed across multiple teams, applications, and environments, making it challenging to identify optimization opportunities and gain clear cost insights. During this internship, you will explore how Artificial Intelligence can improve cloud cost visibility, optimization, and decision-making. You will work on practical AI solutions that help engineering teams better understand spending patterns, identify cost‑saving opportunities, and support proactive cloud cost management in a large-scale engineering environment.
In this internship, you will collaborate with cloud architects, platform engineers, product teams, and FinOps stakeholders to identify where AI can add the most value in cloud cost management. Rather than focusing on theoretical research, you will develop and validate practical AI solutions that improve cloud cost visibility, forecasting, and optimization.
This is a bachelor/master internship for a minimum of 5 months, minimum 4 days per week (2 days on‑site, but flexible). The start date of this internship is as soon as possible.
