Introduction

The IT R&D AI Enablement Team supports ASML’s journey to become an AI-native organization. The team enables responsible AI adoption across Research & Development by helping teams identify, prioritize, and scale impactful AI solutions. In this internship, you will help assess the business value of AI initiatives and support strategic decision-making. Your work will contribute directly to how AI is applied to accelerate innovation within ASML. Your assignment

As part of the AI Enablement Team, you will help create transparency around AI initiatives and their business impact. You will collaborate with engineers, project owners, and business stakeholders to evaluate opportunities and support AI governance activities. Through this internship, you will gain experience in business intelligence, AI value assessment, and strategic decision-making in a high-tech environment. Your main responsibilities will be:

• Maintain a structured overview of AI use cases across IT R&D and Design & Engineering
• Analyze the business value, feasibility, and strategic relevance of AI initiatives
• Develop and apply frameworks that connect AI use cases to measurable business outcomes
• Support AI governance activities by preparing insights and recommendations for decision-making
• Collaborate with stakeholders to collect data and validate findings
• Create reports and presentations that communicate AI adoption progress and impact
• Contribute to business intelligence, benchmarking, and data-driven improvement initiatives

This is a master's non-thesis internship for minimum 6 months, minimum 4 days per week (3 days on-site). but an earlier start date is also possible.

Your profile

To be suitable for the internship, you:

• Are pursuing a master's degree in Business Analytics, Innovation Management, Technology Management, Industrial Engineering & Management, or a related field
• Have a strong interest in Artificial Intelligence, business intelligence, and innovation strategy
• Have experience with data analysis, reporting, and business intelligence tools
• Are analytical and able to translate complex information into actionable insights
• Are proactive, collaborative, and comfortable engaging with different stakeholders
• Communicate fluently in English, both spoken and written

Experience with Power BI, Tableau, Qlik Sense, SQL, Python, machine learning analytics, or similar reporting and visualization tools is considered a plus.
