Job summary

Siemens Gamesa in the Netherlands is seeking an Apprentice Supervisory Lead to manage and develop apprentice wind turbine technicians across sites. You will deploy resources, ensure safety and training readiness, and build strong relationships with schools, training providers and HR to improve the apprenticeship program.

Expect to lead a remote team, coordinate deployment plans, and contribute to workforce planning.

Qualifications

• Experience in apprentice, technician, operational or people-management environments.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to engage and support a remote team.
• Ability to build productive relationships with operational, education and business stakeholders.
• Strong planning and organisational skills, with the ability to coordinate people, priorities and changing operational needs.
• Good understanding of safety culture, competence development and technical training requirements.
• Ability to monitor performance, identify issues and take practical action to resolve them.
• Financial awareness and ability to support budget and cost-control activity.
• Commitment to continuous improvement, apprentice development and future workforce planning.

Responsibilities

• Apprentice Line Management and Development: provide line management support, personal development, performance management and regular one-to-one conversations.
• Maintain proactive two-way communication with a remote apprentice team to keep apprentices informed and supported.
• Support wellbeing, development and performance by identifying issues early and taking action.
• Lead the onboarding of new Apprentices Supervisory Lead team members.
