Job summary

A tech consulting firm seeks a mid-senior level developer to design and build RESTful APIs on Azure. The ideal candidate should possess strong programming skills in Python using FastAPI and have a deep understanding of Azure networking concepts. Qualifications

• Proven experience in designing, building, and deploying RESTful APIs on Azure.
• Strong programming skills in Python with FastAPI and relational databases.
• Hands-on experience deploying APIs through CI/CD pipelines and Terraform.
• Experience with end-to-end API lifecycle management (design, build, deploy and deprecation).
• Bonus: Kong Gateway and Nexus Cloud experience.

Responsibilities

• Help design, build and continuously improve the client’s online platform.
• Research, suggest and implement new technology solutions following best practices/standards.
• Take responsibility for the resiliency and availability of different products.
• Be a productive member of the team.

Requirements

• Proven experience in designing, building, and deploying RESTful APIs on Azure using Azure Container Registry (ACR), Azure Functions, and Docker, with a deep understanding of Azure networking concepts such as private endpoints, DNS zones, and network security.
• Strong programming skills in Python using the FastAPI framework and relational databases, along with hands‑on experience deploying APIs through CI/CD pipelines and Terraform.
• Solid knowledge of API security best practices for production environments, familiarity with monitoring tools such as Splunk, and end‑to‑end API lifecycle management (design, build, deploy, and deprecation).
• Bonus experience with Kong Gateway and Nexus Cloud is an added advantage.
