Job summary

Genmab is seeking a Senior Scientist, Antibody Research and Technologies in the Netherlands to drive design and development of novel antibody formats. You will blend protein engineering with immunology to translate designs into functional activity.

This is a scientific leadership role focusing on study planning, data interpretation, mentoring, and collaboration across discovery teams, contributing to next-generation cancer therapies and partnerships with academics and industry.

Qualifications

PhD in a relevant discipline with postdoctoral and/or industry experience.
3–5 years of relevant industry experience.
Deep expertise in protein/peptide engineering, preferably with antibodies or therapeutic proteins.
Strong understanding of immunology and translating designs into functional assays.
Experience with cytokine biology is preferred.

Responsibilities

Independently drive protein engineering research projects from concept to experimental validation.
Design novel antibody-based formats informed by protein structure and therapeutic mechanism of action.
Translate engineering concepts into immunological hypotheses and assay strategies.
Develop study plans and guide execution of biochemical, molecular, cellular, and functional assays.
Mentor Research Associates and review experimental work for quality and progress.
Integrate data across protein engineering, immunology, and assay biology to guide next steps.
Collaborate with multiple discovery and tech teams across disciplines.
Communicate complex findings to project teams and external stakeholders.
