Job summary

Genmab in Utrecht, Netherlands, invites ambitious Master’s students to join the Antibody Discovery and Lead Optimization team as an Intern. You will gain hands-on experience across disciplines, focusing on in vitro display technologies to screen antibodies from large libraries.

You will learn molecular biology techniques, protein engineering, and antibody discovery, contributing to cancer research while aligning with your degree requirements and onboarding with our internship cohorts.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a Master’s program connected to a local Dutch University.
• This internship must be a formal, mandatory component of your degree program.
• Strong interest in immune‑oncology and antibody biology.
• Basic knowledge of molecular biology techniques (e.g., PCR, DNA cloning, mRNA production, cDNA synthesis, in vitro translation).
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and detail‑oriented skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively and proactively manage your projects.
• Business fluent in English, Genmab's primary language.

Responsibilities

• Assist design and execution of experiments, including optimizing mRNA and ribosome display for antibody screening.
• Learn and broaden molecular biology techniques (PCR, mRNA production, cDNA synthesis, in vitro translation).
• Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot challenges and refine methodologies.
• Analyze and interpret experimental data while maintaining accurate laboratory records.
• Present insights and troubleshoot experimental challenges in team meetings.
