Skills, Knowledge, Experience Required

• Recent experience in conducting analysis in support of decision makers ;
• Ability to undertake detailed review and analysis of large data sets using commercial and in-house tools (e.g. MS Excel and other data integration and AI tools such as MSS) ;
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, providing fit-for-purpose, rapid analysis under the direction of OA Centre staff.

Desirable :

• Experience in supporting analysts in a military environment ;
• Basic understanding of logistics military operations and/or air operations ;
• Experience with data science techniques .

Duties/role:

• Undertaking data and operational analysis, including working comfortably with large data sets and supporting the analysis of complex problems using simple tools ;
• Applying various Operational Analysis (OA) techniques, including wargaming, modelling, and what-if analysis ;
• Carrying out data collection, collation, and analysis using a range of tools, including Python, MS Excel, and MAVEN Smart System (MSS) .
