Progressive in the Nijmegen region is seeking a Senior Analog IC Designer to join an international high-tech team focused on automotive connectivity solutions. You will lead analog and mixed-signal IC development from concept through silicon validation, coordinating with layout engineers and cross-functional teams.

The role emphasizes hands-on circuit design, rigorous verification, and documentation in a fast-paced R&D environment.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in Analog IC Design with strong fundamentals.
  • Experience with industry-standard design tools such as Cadence, Spectre and Solido.
  • Knowledge of mismatch analysis, yield optimization, DFT, device physics, ESD, EMC, and reliability.

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop analog and mixed-signal ICs from specification to production.
  • Define architectures and translate requirements into robust circuit implementations.
  • Perform circuit simulation, verification, and validation activities.
  • Contribute to silicon bring-up, characterization, and product qualification.
  • Collaborate with layout engineers to ensure optimal implementation and performance.
  • Participate in design reviews and produce design documentation.
  • Support ongoing improvement of design methodologies and processes.

Job description

For an international high-tech semiconductor company that develops advanced connectivity and communication solutions for the automotive industry, we are looking for a Senior Analog IC Designer. This organization is a global leader in designing cutting‑edge semiconductor technologies that enable smarter, safer, and more connected systems used by leading manufacturers worldwide.

You will join an innovative R&D environment in the Nijmegen region, working on next‑generation analog and mixed‑signal integrated circuits for automotive communication applications.

Location: Nijmegen Region, Netherlands

Working Hours: Full‑time (40 hours per week)

Work Model: Preferably on‑site

Contract: Long‑term assignment with detavast (temp-to-perm) possibilities

The Role

As a Senior Analog IC Designer, you will be part of a multidisciplinary R&D team responsible for the development of advanced analog and mixed‑signal ICs. From concept and architecture to silicon validation and product qualification, you will play a key role in delivering high‑quality semiconductor solutions for automotive applications.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop analog and mixed‑signal integrated circuits from specification through to production.
  • Define architectures and translate requirements into robust circuit implementations.
  • Perform circuit simulation, verification, and validation activities.
  • Contribute to silicon bring‑up, characterization, and product qualification.
  • Collaborate closely with layout engineers to ensure optimal implementation and performance.
  • Participate in technical reviews and contribute to design documentation.
  • Support the continuous improvement of design methodologies and development processes.
Your Profile
Required Experience & Skills
  • Proven experience in Analog IC Design with a strong understanding of analog circuit fundamentals.
  • Extensive experience with industry‑standard design tools such as:
    • Cadence
    • Spectre
    • Solido
  • Strong knowledge of:
    • Mismatch analysis
    • Yield optimization
    • DFT (Design for Testability)
    • Device Physics
    • ESD
    • EMC
    • Reliability Engineering
  • Ability to develop and use behavioral models for architecture exploration and verification.
  • Experience working closely with IC Layout Engineers.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to contribute effectively during technical discussions and design reviews.
