Job summary

StarIC in the Netherlands is seeking an experienced Analog & Mixed Signal Design Engineer to join a collaborative team. You’ll work on advanced ICs with a focus on analog/mixed-signal design, from concept to tapeout, and contribute to client-focused solutions.

Ideal candidates hold a Masters or PhD in Electrical Engineering, 3+ years of design experience (CTLE, DFE, ADC, DAC, PLLs), and are comfortable with SerDes/high-speed circuits (>10GS/s). Knowledge of SOI/FinFet and MATLAB/Python is a plus.

Qualifications

• Masters or PhD in Electrical Engineering with a focus on IC design.
• 3+ years of design experience including CTLE, DFE, ADC, DAC, oscillators and PLLs.
• Experience with SerDes/high-speed circuit design (>10GS/s) is a significant asset.
• Multiple silicon designs taped out with measured results.
• Experience in SOI or FinFet process nodes is preferred.
• Proficiency in scripting and programming (MATLAB/Simulink, Python).
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Location preference for those eligible to work in Canada.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with layout, digital, and system teams to optimize IC designs.
• Present designs and technical discussions with clients.
• Contribute to tapeouts and verification of analog/mixed-signal circuits.
• Support project delivery and knowledge sharing within the team.

Qualifications We’re Seeking

• Education: Minimum of a Masters or PhD in Electrical Engineering with a focus on IC design.
• Experience: 3+ years of design experience, including knowledge of CTLE, DFE, ADC, DAC, oscillators, PLLs, and more.
• SerDes/High-Speed Expertise: If you’ve tackled a SerDes or high-speed circuit design (>10GS/s), that’s a significant asset.
• Silicon Proven: Multiple silicon designs taped out with measured results? You’re our kind of engineer.
• SOI or FinFet Know-How: Experience in SOI or FinFet process nodes? Even better.
• Coding Skills: Comfortable with scripting, programming, and tools like MATLAB/Simulink and Python.
• Team Player: Excellent communication, presentation skills, and a strong team player.
