Job summary

Mainfreight Europe in Amsterdam is seeking a Customs Specialist to join our import air freight team. You will support growing business by handling customs clearance for import shipments and delivering precise, proactive service to internal and external customers.

Based in our Amsterdam air freight branch, you will work with overseas Mainfreight colleagues, authorities and customers, while developing and improving brokerage procedures and gradually expanding into other import operations.

Qualifications

• Customs clearance experience and knowledge.
• Customer service mindset.
• Strong attention to detail in handling shipments.
• Interest in supply chain and logistics.

Responsibilities

• Process import customs clearances for air shipments.
• Liaise with overseas Mainfreight branches and customers, ensuring smooth operations.
• Support development and improvement of brokerage procedures.
• Over time, learn other import operations such as invoicing and quoting.
