Job summary

Hunkemöller Deutschland GmbH in Hilversum, NL, seeks an AI Product Leader to translate leadership priorities into deliverables and to decide on build vs partner strategies. You will oversee platform choices, cost, and adoption, while guiding a small team of engineers and coordinating with internal stakeholders.

You will report to the Head of Data, Analytics and AI, work in a hybrid model, and engage with an international, cross-country team. Dutch language skills are a plus.

Qualifications

• Experience in technical product ownership or engineering leadership, including leading a small team that delivered solutions and supported internal users.
• Hands-on experience & understanding in cloud platforms, APIs and language-model applications, including familiarity with Google Cloud.
• Proven experience managing agencies, system integrators or freelancers on fixed-scope work.
• Comfortable making decisions with incomplete information as priorities change and deciding deliverables.
• Ability to build trust across departments and explain complex concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Understanding of how AI work translates into cost avoided, time saved and adoption; retail, fashion or ecommerce experience is a plus.
• Fluent English communication; Dutch a plus.

Responsibilities

• Turn AI priorities into scoped deliverables with clear acceptance criteria, estimates and a named business owner.
• Decide whether work is delivered by the team or by an external partner, set fixed-scope agreements, and hold partners to standards.
• Set criteria for AI platform choices, covering data access, cost, integration and maintenance, and manage the Google Cloud agent platform.
• Own monitoring, maintenance, running cost and incident handling for AI solutions in production.
• Act as first-point of contact for AI questions across the business and triage requests.
• Recruit, train and support AI champions in each department to handle first-line questions.
• Plan the team's work, coach two engineers, and ensure cross-coverage of tasks.
• Track realized savings and adoption, reporting progress to leadership and the AI Board.
