Job summary

Nextens is seeking an AI Software Engineer to expand AI capabilities within its tax-focused product ecosystem. You will contribute to AI-powered tax assistants, generative AI features, and workflow automation, collaborating with senior engineers and domain experts.

You will build AI components, ensure outputs are accurate and explainable, and help shape AI-driven product experiences across our platform.

Qualifications

Experience as a software/AI engineer or data engineer.
Strong Python skills for backend and AI/automation components.
Familiarity with LLM patterns: RAG, embeddings, vector search, prompting, context management.
Experience with AI orchestration frameworks: LangChain, LangGraph, or similar.
Ability to work with structured or semi-structured data to generate insights and recommendations.

Responsibilities

Build and improve AI-powered features including assistants, RAG capabilities, workflows, and insights generation.
Develop AI components such as data ingestion, retrieval, prompt orchestration, outputs, and monitoring hooks.
Collaborate with tax/domain experts to ensure outputs are accurate, explainable, and useful.
Support evaluation and improvement of AI systems through reviews of model behavior and production signals.
Work with product, frontend, and engineering teams to translate AI capabilities into usable experiences.
