Job summary

HAL Allergy Group in Leiden seeks an experienced Automation and Integration Engineer (AI & Digital Solutions) to design, build, deploy, and maintain automation, AI, and system integration within a GMP framework. You will work closely with IT, Quality, and Engineering to turn ideas into secure, scalable solutions across the organization.

The role combines software development, automation, and AI, delivering data flows, AI-enabled apps, APIs, and cloud/on‑prem deployments.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
Minimum 5 years of hands‑on experience in software development, automation, system integration, or related technical roles.
Proven experience designing and implementing AI‑enabled business solutions.
Experience developing and supporting enterprise applications, digital workflows, integrations, and automation platforms.

Responsibilities

Partner with stakeholders across the business to identify, prioritize, and deliver automation, integration, and AI initiatives.
Analyze existing processes and define future‑state solutions that increase efficiency and reduce operational complexity.
Design, develop, and maintain integrations between business systems using APIs, middleware, and Azure Integration Services.
Build data and system integrations that enable reporting, automation, and AI‑driven capabilities.
Develop automation solutions using Microsoft Azure, Microsoft 365, Power Platform, and RPA technologies.
Transform manual and paper‑based processes into streamlined digital workflows.
Design, build, and deploy AI‑powered applications, machine learning solutions, and intelligent automation capabilities embedded within business processes.
