Jobgether seeks an AI Industry Associate/Lead based in the Netherlands to shape human-centered AI policy and strategy. The role focuses on responsible AI development, safety, and collaboration with policymakers across Europe and internationally.

The position is fully remote, with seniority-flexible scope. You will translate technical concepts into policy-ready proposals and build coalitions with industry, researchers, and government bodies.

Qualifications

• Experience as a technology strategist, ideally in AI policy or a policy-focused environment.
• Technical fluency to discuss AI capabilities, verification methods, and alternative development paths.
• Independent judgment to assess industry assumptions and develop positions.
• International policy experience or ability to work with global stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Develop AI industry strategy and credible, non-maximally autonomous AI approaches.
• Monitor AI developments including open-source models and applied AI in industry.
• Translate strategy into actionable policy recommendations for governments.
• Engage with policymakers across EU, Brazil, and other international stakeholders.
• Communicate complex ideas clearly in policy meetings and written analysis.
• Lead coalitions and partnerships to advance practical alternatives to highly autonomous AI.
• Contribute to organizational strategy and adapt recommendations as the landscape evolves.
• Advance responsible AI development and mitigate catastrophic risks with human-centered outcomes.
